FBCS was awarded Phase 1 of the project by way of competitive tender. Phase 2 was sucessfully negotiated with the client.
Phase 1
Phase 1 consists of 40 nr residential dwellings. Our scope entailed; reduce level excavation, forming pile mats, attendance on the piling contractor, constructing reinforced concrete ground beams, substructure blockwork, block & beam flooring, internal site drainage and utility services, road construction, Section 278 works, Section 50 highway sewer connections and external finishing works.
FBCS acted as Principal Contractor for the Construction Phase up to the time the brickwork subcontractor started on site.
Phase 2
Phase 2 consists of four apartment blocks, retaining walls, podium and undercroft car parks. Three apartment blocks are steel frame construction above foundation level, one apartment block is a four storey RC Frame with the podium car park constructed in reinforced concrete.
The works commenced with a 9,500m3 bulk dig which was completed in 3 weeks. Piling works followed the bulk dig operations in advance of reinforced concrete pile caps, ground beams, columns, walls, substructure blockwork, block & beam flooring, drainage and services.
The project consists of approximately 4,500m2 of wall, column and soffit formwork.
FBCS provided all craneage on this Phase of the scheme.
