FBCS was awarded the project by way of competitive tender.

The project was a bespoke farmhouse building and stables within a greenfield site.

The works commenced with the construction of a 530m long site access roadway complete with a multi-duct utility service trench.

A reinforced concrete basement was constructed to the swimming pool wing with a suspended reinforced concrete ground floor slab. The remaining interlinking living, garage and stable wings were constructed by means of traditional trench fill foundations with suspended bar reinforced ground floor slabs.

A CLT superstructure frame was erected by others. This was supported on reinforced concrete upstands constructed to the perimeter of the ground floor slabs.

Drainage and completion of utility services are to be carried out during a separate visit.
